The Halloween season is upon us yet again! Each year I try one or two new props to add to The Ghoulie Graveyard, my home yard haunt. This year I had started considering building two tall columns that would serve as a way to hide my lightning effects and electrical boxes. I didn’t know exactly how I was going to do it, but found lots of great ideas and inspiration online. At first I thought there was no way this was going to look good and it was for sure one of the most difficult builds I’ve done, but now that it’s finished I’m pretty pleased with the outcome. It’s a great addition to my yard haunt! Read this article to see all the steps I took to create Halloween cemetery columns.Continue reading
Well now that it’s all over, (Halloween that is) I hope you all stayed safe and sound. Ordinarily I’d have wished you a Happy Halloween but I knew this year was going to be different. Very different. For many it meant no trick or treating. For others it was as extreme as no decorating this year. Some of you might have just stayed in your room, sucked your thumb and cried. Well, I’m here to say that it really wasn’t that bad at all. Okay before you throw stones my way I know that for kids it was the pits. This year it was all about the yard haunts! Lots of people in my neighborhood really went to an extreme in setting up awesome displays for Halloween. Keep reading so I can share with you the newest additions to my yard haunt The Ghoulie Graveyard and how it looked this Halloween.Continue reading

To the internet I go! This time I found a great idea on how to make a 12 volt power supply from a member of the SoCal Valley Haunters Facebook group. It’s really pretty clever and helped me power up my entire graveyard scene. Keep reading to see how I did it.Continue reading

With a few parts from Amazon and a million trips to the hardware store I was able to build these pretty quick. Keep reading if you’d like see what I did so maybe you can too.Continue reading
So after I built my tombstones I started thinking that I should add flickering LED candles in front of them. I wanted them to look like church candles that have been burning for awhile. Once again I looked on Youtube to find out how to build these. I kind of combined what different people did to get a really cool looking cluster of spooky flickering candles. Keep reading to see how I made them.Continue reading
